At Apricity we believe that our clients are best served when family, friends, and other support structure members are involved in the recovery and treatment process. Addiction doesn't only affect the individual who is struggling and as such, treatment shouldn't only involve the individual but be designed to heal the family and support members affected.
From admission to discharge, the client's family, friends, and support structure members are included in the treatment process giving the client the best chance of long-term recovery. Family, friends, and support structure members are encouraged to attend Al-Anon and Alateen meetings in their community, helping them to further understand and discuss the struggles they may be facing.
Families are involved in the treatment and recovery process in:
Every other Saturday family members are invited to attend a group function led by a therapist. The purpose of these family education groups is to educate and support family members in the recovery process. These are informational, question-and-answer sessions where education is emphasized on the specific circumstances of the client and their family. While the client is in treatment their family, friends, and other support structure members are invited to participate in these groups.
